Build a useful supplier brief

  1. Project country and the code family if you already have one.
  2. Use: warehouse, workshop, aircraft hangar or cold room.
  3. Clear span, eave height, bay count and door or dock count.
  4. Wind, snow and seismic numbers, or a note that they are unknown.
  5. Crane wheel load or aircraft tail height when those govern the frame.
  6. Quantity, target month and destination port.

A complete brief allows shortlisted suppliers to separate steel, cladding, doors, freight and installation assumptions. If a load or code basis is unknown, mark it open so every quotation treats it the same way.

A bolted knock-down frame can raise pieces per container, while a welded rafter leaves more work in the shop and needs a crane chart that fits the piece length. Say which path you want, or leave it open. Do not send a single square-metre rate as if both paths weighed the same. If a cold room is involved, name the room temperature and whether the fire note applies to the panel core, the wall assembly, or both. Those are different tests.
